This is us going out on a hot date on the Harley! We went with Tawna and Nathan and started out going up through Saguaro Lake and then onto Fountain Hills and ended up in Scottsdale at Benihana's! It was a blast. Our butts were tired by the time we got home but it was worth the ride. We love our date nights, it's a necessity at our house. We will for sure be ready for our week long cruise after we get moved. We are already tired of it and we have a lot to go!

10 year Anniversary!!

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary on May 14th. Wow how time fly's when you are having fun! We booked a cruise in Sept. for our much needed anniversary gift. We can't wait to go! (If anyone wants to offer to help watch our kids while we are gone we would be oh so appreciative!!) Thanks to Kamala and mom we got to spend the day together. We went shopping, to a movie, and dinner. It was nice to get away for a little while. I told Richard since we didn't get cards for each other to just tell me what he would have written on it. It was sweet to hear him describe how greatful he is for our "wonderful marriage" We often talk of how great we feel our marriage is compared to others around us. I'm sure everyone thinks their marriage is great but we know we really have something special. There aren't many husbands as sweet, kind, considerate, giving, loyal, devoted, compassionate, appreciative, and so stinking adodrable, crazy, weird, and fun as my wonderful Richard is! Thanks Babe for giving me 10 years of complete happiness. I look forward to the next 10 years with you by my side and into eternity! Love ya

My first girl cousin!

Megan finally got her first girl cousin (on mom's side) baby Brooklyn! She was so excited to get to hold her and has asked everyday since then to go see her again. We will miss them when they move to UT. She will make a good babysitter. Aren't they sweet! Maybe she will take after her mom with her love of babies. I just can't get enough baby holding.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

I had a nice mother's Day with my cute family. We woke up early for 8:30 church (which means no breakfast in bed) and the kids all made me wonderful presents from school and church class. As soon as we got home from church Bob (Richard's brother) called and wanted to take out his mom and sisters to lunch for Mother's Day so we had a wonderful lunch together. (Tawna and Jade we missed you!) Then I came home and made rolls and ham for dinner. I am a little bummed I didn't get a nap but life goes on. I do cherish my naps on the rare occasion that I get them. I will take over dinner to my sister and brand new mother Heidi and hopefully get to hold Brooklyn for like forever!! She just got home last night after 36 long days of being in the hospital! Richard and the kids are in the other room getting all the boxes ready to pack up and move. I guess that means I have to actually start packing which I have been avoiding.
I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be a mother and am greatful for the mother I have who is such a great example to me. I have thought a lot of my Nanny, Nan, and Grandma Christensen on this wonderful day and what great women they were. I miss them and have lots to learn from my grandma's on how to be a good mother, cook, wife, friend, and all the other qualities that make them the beautiful women they were. I am surrounded by amazing women whom I wish I could be like. My wonderful mother-in-law who gives so much of her time to her kids, I love and appreciate her. We will miss being neighbors. I don't know who I will go ask when I have to borrow something! Thanks to all you wonderful mothers out there who have such an impact on my life!

Birthday fun!

My wonderful hubby!

So Richard turned the big 30! He wanted a quiet evening at home with the family which was good since he was throwing up during the day. He was driving along the freeway when the sudden urge to throw up came. He couldn't pull over so he opened the window and out it came. All down the side of the truck and probably onto the car behind him. Yuck! So that made for a good birthday. The kids got a kick out of calling him and singing him "Happy Birthday" on speakerphone. We enjoyed a not so quiet dinner and dessert (is it ever quiet with 4 kids?) We tried to create his favorite cold stone with brownies, ice cream and caramel. The kids watched a movie and we watched ps i love you. Probably not his idea of the best movie but that's what he gets for letting me pick it out! Then it was off to bed since he didn't feel good. Not too exciting but he's not big on the birthday thing. I love my Babe and feel totally lucky to have him.

Yeah we're on!

So we are finally on with all the rest of you pro bloggers. Thanks to Granny for creating this site for our crazy family. Hopefully I can figure it all out. Like Granny said we are busy getting ready to move. As soon as the kids finish school we will begin moving at full force. Right now we are painting, and getting the house ready to move in. Richard is busy outside making a designated parking spot for the trailor cause of course that is top priority! I can't seem to get motivated to start packing yet. I've spent a lot of what little free time I have with my sister Heidi and her baby Brooklyn at the hospital where she has been since she was born on April 4th. We will all be so greatful when she gets to come home! Richard stays pretty busy at work continuing to put in 10-14 hour days. Luckily we get him home on the weekends! That's all for now, I'm off to pick kids up from school. I will try to add more soon =)
