Girls Cruise!

Here are a few pictures from our wonderful getaway cruise to Ensenada Mexico! We had a fabulous time and enjoyed our time alone! This is our room, the very last room at the very back of the ship. It was a long walk!

Yes this is me and Becky walking a mile,hauling our suitcases behind us, to do some shopping after our cruise. Our flight didn't leave until that evening so we had some time to spare. Didn't want to wait it out at the airport so off to the mall we went. It made for an adventure and lots of interesting looks as we went in and out of stores carrying our suitcases!

I have decided this was a much needed trip for the both of us and definitely needs to happen a few times a year. Girls trips are so fun! Next trip we will have to plan early so all our sisters and girlfriends can join us. Thanks Becky for a great trip!

Disneyland!

After over a year of saving up our money we finally got to go to Disneyland!!! We told the three older kids if they could earn and save half of their ticket we would go to Disneyland. So for every birthday, Christmas, marbles in the jar, and tending Goldie, they finally earned the $75 needed. They were so proud to hand over their money during a family home evening lesson on goals. We also had great lessons taught on tithing, mission savings, and spending. Made the trip so much more meaningful! Even mom and dad had an envelope of cash we had been saving for the trip so we didn't have any come out of our monthly budget. Thanks to Granny and Grumpy for accompanying us on our trip. We couldn't have done it without them and enjoyed having them there.

So now Rylan is sick. See how red his face is from the fever? Poor guy, he felt horrible.

Are we having fun?? Motrin every 4 hours and triaminic thin strips for the cough and we were good to go! Carson looks a little retarded here, but hey that's what drugs will do to a kid!

The end of the third day, right before Rylan threw up all over! They were done. And so was mom =)

Dispite our sick boys, we had a great time! It's been an aweful flu with a fever, cough, cold, and throwing up! They missed the whole week of school cause they were still sick when we got home. Sorry Grumpy had to get it too. Good Bye Disneyland, we did have fun!

Pinewood Derby

After many hours of building the perfect car (and breaking a few unknown rules in the meantime) it was time to race! We all had fun even though it turned out to be a little disappointing. Didn't win a race, but we did manage to be the only one to loose a wheel! Hope dad learned a few lessons before next years races!!
