4th of July 2010

We left on Thursday and headed up to Heber to Granny and Grumpys cabin. We dropped off Meg and Rylan with Granny and headed up to St. Johns to repair a window for a job up there. Then we met Granny and the kids in Show Low for dinner. Richard had to get his pepper crusted steak which he enjoyed.
Friday we hung out at the cabin and went to the clubhouse for some pool and tennis and enjoyed the cooler weather. We headed back to Show Low and took the kids to Toy Story III in 3D which was fun. Then we grabbed a hamburger and went to the church lawn for a picnic. We met up with Grandma Susan and Grandpa Don where they were saving seats for the musical "1856." We enjoyed the musical as best as we could with restless Carson and then headed back to Heber for the night.
Saturday we woke up early to head to Show Low for the Edmund Ellsworth reunion breakfast. Then it was off to the parade. The kids loved the parade and catching all the candy. We got a little sunburned but had fun. We then headed back to Heber for some rest before the fireworks. We were excited to have the Mowers show up for a visit. Then back to Show Low again for some games and barbeque. The boys made rockets, played games, ran in races (which Megan won), and enjoyed being outside. By the way all this time Austin is in UT with Heidi and Mary so we missed him. We drove back to Heber to watch the fireworks with the Mowers. Richard vows not to ever go to fireworks again. Its too long to wait with way too much traffic to get out. Here are a few pictures I took with my phone since I forgot my camera.

Rylan showing off his rockets
carson finally sat down and watched the fireworks. He was a crazy boy until they started

Richard who was thrilled!

Megan and Faith patiently waiting listening to her ipod

Carson asked this little girl if he could ride with her. He is such a flirt!

Sending the rockets off high into the air. Rylan's rocket flew the farthest! The rockets were made of rolled up paper and duck tape wrapped around it. Then they put it on pvc pipe hooked up to an air compressor and send it way up. It would land clear across the baseball field. Rylan loved it!

Dad helping Rylan construct the rocket.

Catching candy

I thought this was cute, the kids watching the upcomming float awaiting the candy

The boys thought these droids were cool.

This is my handsome Carson as we were waiting for dad to fix the window in St. Johns.

It was a fun, but exhausting weekend. We enjoyed the cooler weather! As we headed back home Sunday morning we meet up with our friends the Cochranes in Payson. We grabbed some lunch (thanks Buddy ;) and went to the park where they were having their 4th celebration. The kids had fun in all the races. They ran in their age group in egg/spoon, backwards run, sack race, one legged, and just running which Megan won again! She is fast. Once mom and dad could take no more, we left to drive home. Back to the heat, yuck.

Weekend in Safford

We joined Heidi and Bruce in Safford for some fun. Lot's of swimming, food, and relaxing together. The kids enjoyed Brooklyn! It was fun to be with both my pregnant sisters! I'm so excited for babies to come.

Aren't they cute!

Carson's week at Grandmas

Carson had a wonderful week at Grandma Susan's. Aunt Kamala did fun things with him while Grandma was at work like go get sno cones, the movies, to the mountains to play with her nieces and nephews, and swimming of course! The days Grandma wasn't working she took him on hikes up on the mountain and swimming. He was so good and loved his one on one time.

See all the ladybugs on the tree! He loved ladybug tower

Don't think he was too sure of the ladybugs on him

Megans 11th Birthday!

Megan was very excited about her party this year. I offered to do a pedicure and facials party with a few of her friends. She said heck no mom, I don't want a girly party. So she planned her own party and passed out invitations. She told me 11 girls were coming. Oh great, this should be fun. Of course they all didn't show up, but we had fun anyways! She even sent out an email about her party to all her aunts and grandmas and grandpas. It was very cute describing her party. Maybe she was hoping to remind everyone about her birthday too! She had balloon darts, unwrapping the chocolate bar dice game, kick ball, pizza, cake, and then the waterballoon fight. It was a funfilled party, but mom was glad when it was over!! lol

Here is her beautiful cake a lady in our ward made! It was good,

All her friends!

They loved trying to pop the balloons and get the good prizes

Richards Birthday Celebration!

We decided to surprise our friends and got a limo for the night! We celebrated Richard and Lindsay's birthdays, mothers day and our Anniversary all in one fun night. We jumped in the limo, headed to dinner, then went to F1 race factory, and then Bahama Bucks. Here are some pictures. My camera battery went dead so I didn't get all the shots I wanted, but here are some good ones.

Happy Anniversary Babe. 12 of the Best Years Ever!!
