Thanksgiving

I'm once again playing catch up with blogging. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at my moms this year! We had a full house including us, Heidi Bruce and Brooklyn, Aaron and Amanda, Chad and Kamala, mom and Don, and two of Don't daughters and their families, and 4 dogs! We missed Mary and her family as they stayed in UT. We enjoyed getting to know Don's daughters and their families. We had a great dinner of smoked turkey, potatoes and gravy, yummy yams, our favorite green beans, stuffing, red cabbage of course, and moms wonderful rolls. We topped it off with pie wich went way too fast! After dinner Chad and Kamala took us rock climbing! We all had fun and enjoyed the hike and time together. I didn't get any pictures of dinner but here are a few from the climb.

New Puppy!

So we decided to get a puppy. She is a maltese/shih tzu mix. She is so cute and the kids are way excited!

Family Home Evening funny

So tonight for family home evening we were talking about testimonies and what they are. We then went around the room sharing our testimonies and what we believed. Dad started and then Rylan wanted to go. He said "My testimony is that we should always wear our seatbelt when we get in the car . . ." He was dead serious and we all began laughing. So cute. I guess the previous lession wasn't very effective! He did finish off a good testimony after we stopped laughing! Love my kids and their sweet testimonies they have. I hope they can continue to grow as they get older.

Fall Break trip to UT

So Kamala thought it would be fun to drive 11 hours to Utah for fall break with the kids and visit our two sisters who live there. This is our journey up there! We only had one major psycho crazy uncontrollable outburst (which lasted way too long) from Carson before we got out the benadryl! And only one kid throwing up which we were so glad he made it into a bag without any spillage!! This all before we even got to Flagstaff. We were in for a long haul! Here we were for a quick dinner!
We sure enjoyed Brooklyn and hope she loved all the company!

So after the flu hit I think we were sorry we went but did have lots of good days! Here is Rylan who it hit the hardest. Kam started it as her and I were in the Salt Lake temple. Then it hit the rest of us in spurts. Poor Rylan couldn't even keep down a sip of water. Again, greatful he was able to keep it in the bowl.

I know this pix is blurry but I didn't have another one. Austin was happy to read lots of books to Brooklyn every time she brought him one. It was so sweet. She loves her stories!

I can't believe I didn't take more pictures. We enjoyed lots of time outside as it was beautiful. We took walks to the park and spent time at Mary's. We were excited to be a part of Kaymie's 1st birthday party! So fun to be with my sisters. Thanks to Heidi for putting up with us! We sure had fun.

Catching up

Since I haven't posted in awhile here are some updates. We have been back to school and getting use to the routine thing again. Mom is very greatful! We enjoyed a fun ward campout with only one injury! We had a fun zipline and Rylan got hit in the head as it was swung back his way while waiting on top the ladder for his turn.

It didn't put him out for long, he iced for maybe 5 minutes and then was off to play. Never complained of it hurting. He is so tuff

This is Megan at school. It caught mom and dad by surprise to find her playing basketball with, as you can see, all boys. She holds her own!

Megan got student of the month the first month of school and we are very proud of her. She is such a good student and trys so hard to help others and be a good friend.
